Coking Coal

Coking coal is alternatively referred to as metallurgical coal. It is essential to the manufacture of blast-furnace coke and foundry coke used in steel production. About 70% of worldwide steel production uses coking coal. Coking coal is transformed into coke by purifying it into almost pure carbon by heating bituminous coal in absence of oxygen to extremely high temperatures.

We are committed to support steel manufacturing industries and other third party partners across the world with the required quality of coking coal in bulk. We provide metallurgical coal together with iron ore as feedstocks for steel production operations. Berium is committed to supporting clients with coking coal that has narrow range of volatility and plasticity. We can supply the products regularly, reliably and competitively.
